29 Local Educators Receive $1,000 Donation from Independence Bowl
The Independence Bowl Foundation partnered with the College Football Playoff Foundation’s Extra Yard for Teachers for the fifth straight year to provide donations for local teachers, and through this partnership, the Independence Bowl donated $1,000 to 29 local educators in December 2025.

Winners of 2025 “Show Your Independence” Art Contest Announced
The Independence Bowl Foundation awards local students from Kindergarten through 12th grade with tickets to the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl each year through the “Show Your Independence” Art Contest. The winners were announced on December 19 and will receive a free ticket to the 2025 Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl between Coastal Carolina and Louisiana Tech.

Margaritaville Resort Casino to Serve as Media Headquarters for 2025 Independence Bowl
Margaritaville Resort Casino will serve as the official media headquarters of the 2025 Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl from December 27-30. Margaritaville will host the media hospitality suite throughout Bowl Week and the Pre-Game Press Conference on Monday, December 29 at 10 a.m.

Recipients of Willis Knighton/Independence Bowl Foundation Community Service Scholarship Announced
This year marks the 20th year that Willis Knighton Health and the Independence Bowl Foundation have partnered to present the Willis Knighton/Independence Bowl Community Service Scholarship to one graduating senior from Caddo Parish and one from Bossier Parish, and the 2025 recipients are Ishmael Swiney from Captain Shreve High School and Avery Claire Brignac from Benton High School.

Coastal Carolina to Face Louisiana Tech in the 49th Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl
The 49th edition of the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl kicks off on Tuesday, December 30 at 1 p.m. CST on ESPN, and the matchup is now set, as the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers will face off against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.

Concessions at Independence Stadium to Feature Local Restaurants
Concessions options at the game will include Pizza Hut, Sonic, Louisiana Smokehouse, Lilah’s Bakery and PJ’s Coffee.

Up to 2,000 Students to Receive Game Tickets Through Whataburger/Independence Bowl Scholar Program
The Whataburger/Independence Bowl Scholar Program provides game tickets and meal coupons to up to 2,000 students from Caddo Parish Public Schools (K-12) based on academic achievement or progress during the 2025 fall semester.

Pizza Hut Family 4-Pack to Feature In-Stadium Food and Beverage
For the first time, the Pizza Hut Family 4-Pack ticket package includes food and drink at Independence Stadium on game day and a total of over $50 of benefits from Pizza Hut. The ticket package is $160 for Endzone Bench seats and $300 for Premium Sideline Chairback seats.

One Lucky Fan to Win the Ultimate I-Bowl Experience
Fans can register to win the Ultimate I-Bowl Experience at RadianceTechnologiesIndependenceBowl.com/experience through Friday, December 5. The winner will be announced on 1130 The Tiger on December 10. No purchase is necessary to register.

For the second consecutive year, the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl and Goodwill Industries of North Louisiana have partnered for a ticket giveaway for fans from November 10 through December 5.

Former Chairman Mike McCarthy Named to the 2025 Bowl Season Leadership Hall of Fame Class
Bowl Season announced their 2025 inductees into the Bowl Season Leadership Hall of Fame on Thursday, October 30, and former Independence Bowl Chairman Mike McCarthy is being honored by the national college football world for his endless contributions – being named as a member of Bowl Season’s Leadership Hall of Fame Class of 2025.
