Annual Kickoff DInner, Featuring ESPN’s Holly Rowe

ESPN’s Holly Rowe was the featured speaker at the 14th annual Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Kickoff Dinner on Monday, July 15 at the Shreveport Convention Center! One of ESPN’s highest-profile commentators told countless college football stories and her own story!

 

The annual Kickoff Dinner was presented by Willis Knighton Health, Weiland, Morehead Pools and Shreveport Rubber & Gasket.

The Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl is not just about the game but the whole bowl week experience! Fans can get the party started the night before the game with a trio of FREE events, including the Explore Louisiana Mardi Gras Preview Parade, Battle of the Marching Bands and a free concert. The parade kicks off the night from the Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets and runs through the East Bank District. That leads into the Battle of the Bands, a fireworks show and the concert in the East Bank District!

Get an early taste of what is to come during the Mardi Gras season with the Mardi Gras Preview Parade, which features floats from local Krewes and the two university bands and spirit squads! The parade starts in the Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets and flows through the East Bank District in Bossier City! The two school marching bands will face off in a Battle of the Marching Bands in the East Bank Plaza following the parade! After the Battle of the Bands, a fireworks show will lead into the concert to cap off the night!

Friday, December 27, 2024 | Hurricane Alley in the East Bank District

Culminating the Rally on the Red at 8 p.m. is a FREE concert in Hurricane Alley in the East Bank District – located behind Beauxjax Crafthouse, Frozen Pirogue and Bayou Axe Co. Hurricane Alley is a great outdoor music venue with access to all three restaurants and bars for food and drinks.

Bowl Week | Riverview Hall | Tickets – $10

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes Breakfast is presented annually for the participating teams and their coaching and administrative staff. Hosted by the NWLA FCA Chapter, this event annually hosts more than 500 guests, offering breakfast and featured speakers who give their testimonies.
