2024 Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Fans,

Embarking on our 48th edition, the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl is steeped in college football tradition as the 11th most historic bowl game. We are proud to be North Louisiana’s premier nationally televised sporting event and have prided ourselves on providing a fun, hospitable experience for fans nationwide since 1976.

In the Fan Guide to your right, you will find information on Bowl Week Events, Independence Stadium, our Clear Bag Policy, ticketing and parking, the Shreveport-Bossier City area and much more.

We are excited to welcome you all to Northwest Louisiana for bowl week. We hope you enjoy our free, family events, as well as some of Northwest Louisiana’s best restaurants and destinations. STADIUM RULES

ITEMS PROHIBITED FROM STADIUM
  • Outside food or drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)
  • Ice chests/coolers
  • Video Cameras
  • Firearms
  • Mace
  • Knives
  • Pocket Tools
  • Straight Blades
  • Tazer/Stun Guns
  • Umbrellas
  • Non-clear bags
  • Laser Pointers/Lights
  • Bags that do not meet the criteria of the Clear Bag Policy (see below)

  • Telephoto lenses more than 6 inches in length

  • Outside Food or Drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)

  • Smoking and vaping are NOT permitted inside the stadium

Clear Bag Policy

Fans are encouraged not to bring any types of bags inside the stadium; however, the following outlines bags that are permitted:

  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″;
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar); and
  • Small clutch bags, with or without a handle or strap, that do not exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″ (approximately the size of a hand).
  • An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

An approved logo no larger than 4.5″ x 3.4″ may be displayed on one side of a permissible clear bag.

Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag; briefcases; backpacks, cinch bags, and fanny packs that are not clear and/or exceed the size restriction; luggage of any kind; computer bags/cases; camera bags/cases; binocular bags/cases or any bag larger than the permissible size.

Fans will continue to be able to carry items allowed into the stadium in a permissible clear bag.

This policy pertains to bags and is not an all-inclusive list of items that are prohibited from being taken into the stadium. Therefore, fans should be aware of specific institutional policies regarding prohibited items that may not be brought into that institution’s stadium.

GATE INFORMATION

For the most direct and efficient access to your seat, please enter the stadium through the gate indicated on your ticket. All gates open two (2) hours prior to kickoff.

Gates to Use:

  • Sections 100-102, 200-202: Gate 2
  • Sections 103-108, 203-205: Gate 3
  • Sections 109-115, 212-215: Gate 4
  • Sections 116-124, 216-224: Gate 1
  • Sections 125-130, 225-230: Gate 2
  • Sections 423-426: Club Gate
  • Suite A-F: Club Gate
  • North Suite: Gate 3
  • South Suite: Gate 2
  • North Tents & Chairman’s Club: Gates 3 or 4
WILL CALL

Will call is located in the northeast ticket booth, near Gate #4. Picture ID is required.

STADIUM ENTRANCES & LINES

Gates will open two (2) hours prior to kickoff in an effort to relieve lines.

HANDICAP ASSISTANCE

Ticket holders needing assistance to their accessible seating can use the elevators located on the west and south sides of Independence Stadium, and golf carts will be available at the bottom of the ramps to assist east-side ticket holders.

LOST AND FOUND

Lost and Found is located in the southwest corner of Independence Stadium at the Security Office. For further assistance, contact the nearest Shreveport Police Officer or usher.

ATM's

ATM’s will be available in the parking/tailgating areas outside of the stadium on the State Fair Grounds. ATM’s will also be located inside the stadium.

FIRST AID

Independence Stadium is equipped with one first aid station. The station is located in the north end-zone area. Ambulance service is available during the game.

CONCESSIONS

Concession stands are located throughout Independence Stadium, both on the ground level and along the upper concourse. In addition, vendors service all sections of the stadium, prior to and during the game. They will feature an assortment of items, including dishes with a southern flair.

USHERS

Stadium ushers serve the needs of our spectators. Please contact the nearest usher to request medical assistance or register complaints about objectionable behavior by other spectators.

SMOKING & VAPING

Smoking and vaping is not permitted inside Independence Stadium.

FIELD ACCESS

Please do not go onto the playing field at any time. Anyone entering the field area without proper credentials is subject to eviction and arrest under Louisiana state law.

TAILGATING & PARKING

A special lot conveniently located northeast of Independence Stadium, the White Lot, has been reserved for tailgate parties. The price is $25 per parking space. To make reservations for tailgating space contact the State Fair Office at 318-635-1361. Grass Tailgate Areas can be purchased through the State Fair Office and the price depends on the amount of space. Charter buses and limousine passes are $50 each and can also be purchased through the State Fair Office.
