B-25 to Fly Over Independence Stadium Prior to Kickoff of 2013 AdvoCare V100 Bowl

In honor of the Doolittle Raiders being named the 2013 Omar N. Bradley “Spirit of Independence Award” recipient, a B-25 Mitchell bomber will fly over Independence Stadium at the conclusion of the National Anthem and prior to kickoff of the 2013 AdvoCare V100 Bowl.

The B-25, Special Delivery, is the official B-25 of the Doolittle Raiders Association. The aircraft is owned by the Lone Star Flight Museum in Galveston, Texas.

Special Delivery is painted with the exact colors and markings of the aircraft used in the Doolittle Raid, and it is the only civilian aircraft to have the Doolittle Raiders’ emblem.
