The committee was created to oversee the investigation of, and provide counsel on, the prospects of building an on-campus stadium, including the public input process, site selection, funding sources and hiring contractors and consultants to support the project.

This is our third recruiting class and like many coaches around the country, we feel good about these future Rebels. We are excited to get them signed today and move into our offseason. We certainly have a lot of work to do here and progress needs to be made but today, especially, optimism is high.

SDSU head football coach Rocky Long spoke to the media on Wednesday afternoon about the 2012 football recruiting class.

San Diego State head football coach Rocky Long, who recently guided the Aztecs to their second consecutive winning season and bowl game appearance, announced the signing Wednesday of 19 student-athletes to National Letters of Intent. Of that group, 17 of the student-athletes are currently high school seniors.

"Well welcome guys. Really appreciate everybody coming and taking the time out of your busy day. Must be a slow news day out there, obviously. Well I appreciate everybody being here and we're really excited to announce this class. We're really excited to announce not only this class' signees, but this new group of guys who are driven to be successful and these new group of guys that are going to blend in with the old group that we have here. They can become great members of our team, of our family and of the CSU community. This is what we are really excited about."

Head coach Bobby Hauck's third recruiting class at UNLV is made up of primarily high school players as a list of 20 future Rebels was announced during Wednesday's initial day of the national signing period.
